✨️ My name is Melissa Brockett, and I've been a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years.
🩺 With my experience in the hospital on medical surgical units, emergency departments and in homecare I have served as a staff nurse, supervisor, manager and educator. I've seen first hand the impact hair care and having an uplifting appearance has on one's overall well-being, even in the most severe cases.
💇🏾♀️ Beginning my second career as a Cosmetologist and Trichologist, in my living room in 2021, and successfully transitioning my business to suite ownership; then, expanding to a larger suite the following year, I also know the grit it takes for stylists to start, start over, expand and travel the path least chosen.
📚 I founded HIHEC - Haircare Is Healthcare Educational Center in 2024. I witnessed a gap in client education about their hair loss and its relation to their health. I founded HIHEC so people can understand that products may serve as "Band-Aids" to many root causes of "unhealthy" hair; it is important to bridge healthcare with haircare in the trenches of the healthy haircare journey.

What can you offer that I cannot get at other online schools?
With us you will have the opportunity to learn and be supported in real life challenges that one faces as they transition post-certification. You have earned your new skillset but putting it into practice with comprehensive support from various professionals is rare to find at any other online school. We don't automate our support, we get on a personal Zoom call.
